
Sindy Diab
Sindy Diab is the Vice President of Custom Research at MMGY Travel Intelligence, where she leads the custom research practice and oversees the accounts group. With over 20 years of experience in market research and tourism consulting, she is responsible for delivering actionable insights through both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
Sindy began her career at the European Tourism Institute in Germany, supporting tourism master plans after earning her B.S. in Applied Geography from the University of Trier. She later received a Fulbright Scholarship to pursue a Master of Tourism Administration from the George Washington University School of Business, a pivotal step that brought her to the U.S. market. She joined DK Shifflet & Associates as a Research Analyst and eventually became a Research Manager before the firm was acquired by MMGY Global in 2016.
Promoted to Vice President in 2022, Sindy now spearheads custom studies and analytics initiatives, working closely with clients such as state agencies, destination marketing organizations, hotels and other travel industry partners. She specializes in survey design, data storytelling and translating complex research into clear, strategic recommendations.
Sindy is a published author on man-made tourist attractions and has been recognized with a Fulbright professional enhancement grant and a scholarship from the Network of Executive Women in Hospitality. She currently serves as a board member of NETTRA, an organization supporting thought leadership in the tourism research community.
